Palmers Cocoa Butter

I love this product so I am already biased....I am rather flaky when it comes to beauty products as I hate the feeling of *missing out* so I love to try new things all the time, body lotions included. However I always find room in my drawer and in my heart for this lotion.

This product has a very usually strong smell which personally I love but possibly has a bit of a marmite effect though on some peeps. It is very good for dry skin, stretch marks, for use after tanning. you name it...you can apply it there. I don't tend to use this product all over as I find it does take that bit longer to sink in, I use it on places like my legs after shaving which tend to be that bit drier. It is quite a thick yellow cream, so a little goes a long way. Great value too at about £4.00

FISH SILKY SMOOTHING CREAM

                                             

I am not someone who straightens their hair, my hair is naturally wavy read fizzy not curly sadly but only in certain areas like around the 

crown where I have a cow-lick. This is the only part of my hair I straighten, otherwise I would be doing a certain scene from "There's Something About Mary" every day! I also don't blow dry my hair, as it is long and coloured I prefer to not use styling products if I can get away with 

it for everyday use, only  for special occasions. When I walked into Boots I was a bit overwhelmed by the choice as always and was picking up lots of products and then putting them back, but there was something about this product I thought ohh I shall give this a whirl. You can apply this

 to damp hair before you blow dry to protect against the heat as it contains Vit b5 which helps to strengthen your hair. As I don't tend to blow dry my hair I just put some on to my fringewhich have to straighten and let the rest dry naturally. When it is dry I put

 a little bit on my fingers and spread onto the flyaway stands. I have to say I really like this product considering I have never heard of it before, it did tame those pesky fly away strands without leaving my hair weighed down, which some products have done but that could also be because I am slightly heavy handed. This product is a thumbs up form me.

Elemental Herbology Facial Glow

I first came across this brand when I worked at Space NK. It launched here (UK) and I believe it is still exclusive to Space Nk. The range is a natural range but is more anti-ageing which is hard to find with natural brands as they don't tend to focus or address this issue. It can be tricky, if you want to pay more attention to the ingredients you place on your skin, but why should not looking and feeling younger be a priority too? This brand is for you then. They focus on a Summer and Winter range with Summer for more normal to oily skin types and Winter being for more drier skin tones. They sell a range of cleanser's etc etc but I am here to talk about one product. The Facial Glow is designed to help reduce dull and flaky patches on the skin.

                                                                                  

It is actually more like a face mask although you don't leave on the skin for a long time. You apply to clean damp skin, leave on for about four mins and then you remove with a face cloth. It is ideal to freshen up your skin so you can use in the morning if you really want to wake your skin up. It does contain *Alpha Hydroxy Acid * which can increase your skin sensitivity so always wear a sunscreen afterwards, esp if your skin is sensitive yes even in this weather the sun can be still quite strong. The texture is like that of a cream it is quite thick, it also smells lovely as it contains Papaya and Manuka Honey! It is also said to contain Argaon Oil to infuse the skin with essential fatty acids to help nourish delicate skins and to help reduce inflammation.

For best results they advise to use once per week. I have being so for the past three weeks, I have to say I do feel my skin looks brighter than usually. It also doesn't feel like a chore as you don't not have to leave it on for very long. I find that I put it on have a shower and then I rinse it off. So far I am pleased with the results and it is a lovely product especially if you are Eco friendly.

Garner Multi Active Cleansing Gel

Firstly I would like to apologise for not photographing the whole of the bottle but clumsy old me dropped it and broke the top of the pump. The back of the bottle is all scratched as well, again through neglect..sorry...I promise I will be extra nice and take more care of the products I buy.

I have never used this cleanser before but as I was looking for one to use in the morning AND as I needed to spend £50 to get my £12.00 Boots Points! I thought I would give this one a whirl. I was attracted to its packaging and its promise of  *Youthful Radiance* To use, I splashed my face with tepid water and used a small amount, massaging into my skin. You only need a tiny amount as it seems to *foam* really well. I didn't realise this at first and I used far too much quite a few times until I got the amount right.You do need to splash your face with water quite a few times but then again I think this could be because I sometimes use far to much. It says you can use it to take make-up off, although it doesn't say on the bottle whether you can use it around the eyes. I never used it in the evening to find out simply because I prefer to use more of a *balm* in the evening.Its for normal skin types and it says to make you look more radiant. I am not sure if it makes me look radiant but then again for £3.99 you can't expect miracles can you?

Garnier Intensive 7 days Moisturising lotion

Again this was part of my £50 spend to gain £12 worth of points, yes I know that really makes a lot of sense. This says

that it is for dry, rough skin, I didn't notice this when I picked it up though, I thought it looked a nice big size and was also 3 for 2 so why not!?! This bottle is 400ml. If you get through a lot of lotion then I feel this is a really good product to use. It is not expensive and when you apply to the skin it does not takes ages to sink in either. It smells nice, if you like the smell of Cocoa Butter but it is not a strong smell. It smells nothing like Ponds Cocoa Butter!I love the smell of this though by the way. Its call 7 days as your skin is supposed to feel moisturised for up to 7 days....I am not sure this would work depending on your skin type as I used it every day because I like to use a lotion after I have had a shower. I do however have a favourite and I do love Ponds Cocoa Butter especially the solid cream which you blend between your fingers. I am not loyal to body lotions and tend to pick and chose... no doubt I will go full circle with this lotion as well. If you don't like the smell of coconut then I wouldn't advise you to buy this product because of the smell. Otherwise its all systems go!

MONTAGNE JEUNESSE

This mask is for normal, oily and t-zoned skins. I do suffer from a t-zoned skin and can get quite congested around these areas. I need masks that help to control this otherwise I can get spotty! It works in a similar way to other Montagne masks, but it is particular good if you feel stressed. Although its good for stressed skin it isn't for dry skins types so I would skip this if you do have dry skin. With this mask, they recommend you thoroughly cleanse your face before use, apply evenly over the face avoiding the eye area and lip area. Relax for fifteen minutes and then rinse. I like this mask, not as much as the Chocolate masque but it's the smell that does it for me with that one!! My face feels brighter and cleaner after using if and the effects of the mask lasts quite a few days. One sachet  is enough for two masks. I brought mine in Boots for the grand sum of 100pennies.
