Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner

Redken is a brand I have heard a lot of, but I have never used the range before. I think mainly because they are sold in Hairdressing Salons and their are so many in the range that it confuses me! Recently I had some high lights put through my hair(which I hate) and I really want to treat my hair to something really nourishing. The lady who coloured my hair recommended this range for me as my hair needs a lot of TLC.

They are for dry/brittle hair....which I have! Mainly as it is very long and it is coloured it really does need something really nourishing  to stop the split ends and breakages. The shampoo is 300ml and the conditioner is 250ml. I am not sure why this is as from what I gather most people use more conditioner than shampoo...maybe someone can fill me in! It is apparently  has an Exclusive Interlock Protein Network and is Keratin enriched  with omega 6 enriched argon oil to help strengthen the hairs protein. It nourishes so hair is left feeling really silky. Since I had my hair coloured this is the shampoo and conditioner I have been using. I really love this product and I do feel that my hair is shiner and stronger. Sometimes I think if you can, its worth paying that little bit more for a product. I would be interested to know what the other products in the range are like. You do only need a small amount, I am a bit heavy handed and can sometimes slap far too much of well everything on and then realised I have overdosed. Next time I will buy this product in 500ml sizes as you save so much more money. They retail about £13.00 each. I did buy them but I never remember the prices of anything...bad for my bank statement!

L'oreal Studio Secrets Anti Shine Mattifying Primer

I have to say that this primer is a staple in my make-up bag, as I really do feel it is one of the best primers out there on the market. Before this, I use to use the Laura Mercier Primer mainly because everyone used to raved about it....but I never really found it anything special at all. This little baby however really does help my make-up to stay put. The only trouble is the pump thing doesn't really well *pump* so I don't feel you get very good value for money with it..I think it would be better if it was in a tube.

Sorry about the blur in the second picture, it was hard to get a good shot at the time. It retails at about £12.00. I got mine from Boots, it is for combination/oily skin types..

Garnier Blackhead Scrub

With moving (hopefully) again soon, I am sticking to a budget at the moment and this has extended to the beauty products that I use. I am trying to make a conscious effort to stop spending silly money on creams/make-up etc that costs a small fortune! With this in mind I was on the look out for a really good heavy duty scrub that would really clean my skin and freshen but without breaking the bank. I picked this item up in Boots not because I had heard great reviews from anyone but simply because I like the packaging and I like what is said on the packaging. (Yes....I am one of those easily swayed shoppers) It said is was blackhead clearing and that it helped to fade spot marks...a problem which I now seem to suffer from.

This scrub contains small blue  *bead particles* in it. You do feel these when you are exfoliating your skin but it does not feel harsh when you are massaging into the skin. I used this three times a week to help reduce blackheads after I cleansed my skin first. This scrub contains 2% Salicylic Acid (good for blemish prone skin) I really liked this product, I don't think that is too harsh. I would only say if you had really sensitive skin not to use it but other than that I found it to be quite gentle. Also if you are prone to getting breakouts around your periods and they leave a mark which takes ages to heal then again I think this product is good for this as well. I have been using this for about a month and I do feel my skin looks brighter and clearer for using it although its not a patch on Dr Brandt Microdembrasion but its about sixty pounds less so .I am going to keep using this product well until it runs out any way as my miracle discovery product may just be around the corner.....

SKIN CLEANSE

This is my new cleanser at the moment, I admit I am very fickle when it comes to my cleansers and like to chop and change frequently.
This product is for an oily skin type although they do have cleanser for normal and drier skin types as well. You can use this in the morning and in the evening and it removes make-up. If you are removing make-up I would advise to cleanse twice in the evening or morning if you have been naughty and left your make-up all all night! You do have to use a separate cleanser for the eye area which is a bit of pain. This cleanser cost me £9.00 and I have to say I really do like this product, I really feel it cleanses my skin with out being too harsh and helps to keep those pesky blackheads at bay.
